Guest guest
Hi, Chris. Reading this, I was wondering,. . .How is 's writing now? I know he is in college, and was wondering if that is something he outgrew, or is still struggling. Or did OT help him get past it? I was also thinking, will schools allow typing in place of writing, if the writing is an issue? I know in colleges they do a lot of computer work, but was wondering if they can make the exception for kids with writing issues, in public grades, like Micah. Josh learned to type at a young age, using Mavis Beacon. It had games you played that taught you key placement, etc. He thought it was great fun, but it helped him get his typing skills down quickly. He always had the other problem, with writing. . Being too neat. Somehow he found ways to not let it make him too slow though. Guest guest
Hi BJ, the occupational therapy really helped. His writing was better and legible after it. And wanted to add that the neurologist did prescribe OT for him and helped insurance cover it. But an additional thought is if I had needed to use some type " proof " for insurance purposes is that I could show 's writing BEFORE his OCD began and then AFTER it began, it was like a " lost skill " that he could have rehabilitation on so that helped his insurance pay for OT. Some insurance won't pay to, say, improve a skill but if a skill is " lost " will pay for therapy. > > Hi, Chris. Reading this, I was wondering,. . .How is 's > writing now? Guest guest
That's great that it helped, Chris. Too bad you have to prove something to get insurance to pay though. I feel they should just do it, without making the situation harder. BJ > > > > Hi, Chris. Reading this, I was wondering,. . .How is 's > > writing now?
