Guest guest
(((((((((((( Vicki ))))))))))))))))))) Don’t be sorry to vent! Venting is healthy! Holding that stuff in is toxic. I think the greatest gift I have given my daughter in all of this is listening to the parents on this board when they told me to make sure to take time for myself. It made a huge difference in the way I handle things. I’ve learned that even telling my daughter I’m taking a time out and going to my room and closing the door for ½ hour is okay! The world doesn’t stop and she survives. Journaling my feelings also helps. Please don’t be hard on yourself. It is natural to want a break and you deserve one. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Vicki Sent: Monday, November 24, 2008 11:09 PM To: Subject: [sPAM] is it the time of year I think every year around the holiday's I have just had enough! I am stressed, anxious, overwhelmed and fed up! I know that sounds terrible and mean. My 9 1/2 year old son is ADHD and mild OCD.... I am tired... he has been on break from school for almost one month. we have 1 week to go and he is anxious about starting again. He was being bullied and most that aren't bullying him are banishing him.... My heart breaks for him! I am just so frustrated that I can't get him into a regimen... it is such an up and down thing... there is NO control! How many of you have your kids on IEP at school?.... I think that is the next step to force them into creating some sort of useful program for kids like my son! I even came out and said to them... he is a geek... he likes computers and plays guitar and is really smart... his test scores last year came in all in the advanced arena, but he is getting C's.... figure it out people, if an extremely smart child is getting C's.... why can't they see that what is happening in the classroom and on the playground make an impact! I'm tired folks! I want a break! I'm sorry to vent... I have only been on this sight I think once or twice!... I am great at giving advice, I have the best ideas in the world... but ask me to make them work in my own home and we have a problem Houston Needed to vent... thanks for being here and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.... may our children have a day of peace and blessings!
