Presenter Bio: Ms. Sawyer is a seasoned Board Certified Behavior Analyst,

holding a Master of Science degree in Behavior Analysis, and a Bachelor degree

in Psychology and Child Development. She is the Executive Director and

co-founder of the DFW Center for Autism and works closely with local school

districts and educational entities providing BCBA oversight for the center's

Outreach & Training programs. Additionally, Ms. Sawyer is an Adjunct Professor

at the University of North Texas teaching undergraduate coursework in autism and

ABA and was selected Alumna of the Year her first year as a Dept of Behavior

Analysis alumna. Ms. Sawyer also serves as Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the

University of Texas at Arlington. With the help of various university

affiliations, she has provided investigative results in the area of play, social

skills and teacher training at several regional and national conferences.

Presenter Bio: Carla received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of

North Carolina of Wilmington in 1995, and Master’s degree from the University

of North Texas in 1999. She has 10 years experience working with individuals

with developmental delays ranging from young children to adults and has

practiced as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2000. Carla is an active

member of The Association for Behavior Analysis and The Texas Association for

Behavior Analysis Autism Special Interest Group. She previously worked as an

Autism Program Coordinator for a public school district which included

conducting functional analysis in and outside of classroom settings, developing

IEP goals, and training staff members. Carla has extensive experience working

with local school districts providing consultation on IEP development, program

structure, and staff training. Currently, Carla serves as the Administrative

Director for B.I.

Presenter Bio: Barbie Blizzard has her Masters in Education and has worked for

25 years with children and families affected by ASD. She is also a RDI Program

Certified Consultant and an ABA consultant. She herself has shadowed extensively

for all age ranges and has trained shadows for many families.
