Modifying Our Behaviors as Teachers to Modify the

Behaviors of our Students

Presenter: Regan Roth, M.Ed., BCBA

This workshop will touch on various ways in which a teacher's behavior can

affect the behaviors of their students. We will discuss ways that teachers can

modify their own behaviors to improve their students' behaviors in the classroom

and we will address why this is so important.

Presenter Bio: Regan Roth Fitzgerald is a board certified behavior analyst who

attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received a bachelors degree

in Psychology and Spanish. She went on to earn her Master's at The University of

North Texas in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism Intervention and

Behavior Analysis. She has worked at numerous centers in the metroplex and

worked for private consulting companies in California. Regan has moderated

social groups for teenagers with Aspergers and high functioning autism. She

currently owns her own private practice, named B.E.S.T, where she is an in- home

ABA consultant. She also works for the Garland Independent School District as

the Autism Specialist and behavior Analyst. Mrs. Fitzgerald has been working

with children with autism for 10 years and has presented her research material

at national and state conferences.

Presenter Bio: Barbie Blizzard has her Masters in Education and has worked for

over 20 years with children and families affected by ASD. She is also a RDI

Program Certified Consultant and an ABA consultant.
