Positions opening at Early Intervention Centre in Bermuda

The Bermuda Autism Support and Education Society

(registered charity) will be opening the first ever

Early Intervention Centre on the island of Bermuda and

is looking for staff to be a part of this landmark

facility. The following are job descriptions for

which we are accepting applications. A minimum of 2

year commitment is required for each of these

positions.

Director:

BCBA required to head an Early Intervention Centre for

children with Autism in Bermuda. Minimum of 3 years

experience assessing and designing programs using

ABLLS and Verbal Behavior. Must have good

organizational skills, leadership skills, be

personable and be able to oversee the day to day

running of an early intervention centre, management

skills a definite asset. Must be able to lead a team

of therapists and work well within that team.

Position will be starting mid-August 2007.

Therapists:

4 Verbal Behavior Therapists required for new Early

Intervention Centre in Bermuda. We are accepting

resumes for full-time ABA/VB therapists. A BA/BSc

degree is required. Will be responsible for carrying

out daily hands-on 1:1 treatment to children with

Autism and will report to the Director. Experience

working with children with ASD essential. Psychology,

ECE, ABA, CDA or teaching background preferred.

Knowledge of Verbal Behavior/ABA a definite asset.

Must be energetic, patient, and be able to work well

within a team environment. Must be creative and enjoy

working with young children and their families. Must

be able to work independently and have good

interpersonal skills. Position starts mid-August

2007.
