FYI..... Please share with families, providers, caregivers,

professionals, anyone working with kids who have special needs....

After talking to various parents, caregivers, and professionals.....

I have decided to form a new support group for parents who have kids

with a variety of special needs and/or disabilities...........such

as Down Syndrome, Hydrocephalus, Cerebral Palsy, Brain Injury,

Seizure Disorders, Vision Impairments/Blind, Autism, Learning

Disabilities, ADD/ADHD, Bipolar, Non-verbal and/or Communication

Disorders, Hearing Impairments/Deaf, Spina Bifida, Rare

Disorders/Diseases, Cancer, etc.... I am facilitating this support

group as a parent of a special needs child.

Below is the information about this new support group..... which

will meet along with the Hydrocephalus Support Group....

Disabilities/Special Needs

Support Group for Parents

who have Kids with Special

Needs and/or Disabilities

Date: The First Wednesday of Each Month (excluding December and the

summer months)

In February, this group will meet on February 7, 2007

Place: Easter Seals Southern Georgia

1906 Palmyra Rd.

Albany, Georgia 31701

(In the Conference Room)

Time: 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Please note that no child care is provided.

Also, it is important to note that Albany has an active Autism

Support Group that meets the third Thursday of each month... contact

Prescott at 229-436-4553 or Debbie Vansant at 229-883-2334 for

details about this support group. And, Leesburg has an active

ADD/ADHD Support Group that meets the second Sunday of each month in

Leesburg... contact Rutherford at 229-759-1192 or Rowan

at srowanslp@... for the details about this support group.
