Guest guest
Wow BJ that's great! Thanks for going to so much trouble to help me!! My thanks to Josh to. Thanks for putting all the info together, and the link, you've made it very easy for me. I actually have Vista on both computers, but most programs run for me in compatibility mode just fine. I'm still running money 98..... Thanks so much, I am now 98% leaning towards home schooling him 7 and 8. I'm not sure about High yet. I checked out the HSLDA for MO, wow....requirements are practically non-existent. If Im reading this right, even registration of " my school " is optional. Thanks so much BJ, In a message dated 11/22/2008 5:01:51 P.M. Central Standard Time, BJClosner@... writes: Found it, ! I thought I sold it a long time ago, since I couldn't find it. We often sell our curriculum at the end of the year, at the home school group's used curriculum sale. Go figure. . Josh (my hoarding son who can't part with things) had it tucked away in his bedroom. lol He came home for a minute, before flying back out the door, and told me he had them, so went and got them for me. He used more than one typing software program, but said he liked both. The first one is called " Jump Start Typing " . Here is a link to the software on their website, but you might be able to find it cheaper, elsewhere. Still this will give you an idea of what it looks like. _http://shop.http://shop.<WBRhttp://shop.<WBRhttp://shohttp://shop.<Whttp_ (http://shop.knowledgeadventure.com/Products/JumpStart-Typing__20121.aspx) It is for kids ages 7-10, so it is for beginners. Ours is an older version for Win 95, so don't know what the new one is like. But, it sounds similar. Here's the description: " Designed specifically for kids, JumpStart Typing combines our award-winning learning system with exciting game play to make learning to type fun and easy. Children become accomplished typists while being entertained and engaged in four extreme sporting events including rock climbing, skateboarding, soccer and snowboarding.c The other software he used is Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing. It says it is version 12. It is for Win 95/98, 2000, ME, and XP. So if you have any of those versions of Windows, it will work for you. He said this one had games too. He didn't have a favorite, he said both were good. Hope that is helpful. ) **************One site has it all. Your email accounts, your social networks, and the things you love.
