Guest guest
Rehabber around Boca Raton, FL?? Hi, My brother and his wife have recently moved to Boca Raton (this past week). They have a lab that is about 1 year old. It has a mild lameness after exercise in one rear leg. They took the dog to their vet and a surgeon in LA that said it was in the "ankle" and there is nothing they can do. The lameness has been present for a few months and has improved but not resolved. I haven't seen the dog since it was hurt and unfortunately can't give any more insight. They love the dog and recently said they would be interested in a second opinion. I told them I would ask around. I am suspicious that there may be something in a canine rehab situation that might help. They would be willing to travel and spend what's needed. I know there are several good rehabbers in Florida, I just don't know who would be closest. Polazzi, DVM

Guest guest
Hi, I must admit my 2 thoughts from what I could figure out over the phone were a tarsal OCD or a gastrocnemius tendon injury. It is always hard getting second hand info from someone with no veterinary knowledge (and even harder with family). I'm just glad they are finally willing to consider a second opinion. lisa To: VetRehab From: rfreedman@...Date: Mon, 17 Nov 2008 22:16:11 -0500Subject: Re: Rehabber around Boca Raton, FL??
