Hi , Have you checked the lumbar spine, L7-S1 and the SI joints for any dysfunctions? Does the dog have any organ problems such as bladder and or kidney problems? Kortekaas PT Dancing Doberman Does anyone have any information on this condition and treatment/other methods which have helped dogs with this condition? I have a referral for a doberman with this condition. Per the owner, the diagnosis was made by the vet through an elimination of all other possibilities. The dog is 6 years old. He presents as being very happy and appears not to be in any discomfort while running/jumping. The symptoms of alternating his stance from the right back leg to the left back leg many times while standing and wanting to sit frequently instead of stand have been seen by the owner for approximately 8 weeks. When this dog sits, I also noticed that he unweights himself but it varies occurring sometimes on the left and sometimes on the right. This dog has recently began a course of glucosamine and rimadil. The frequency of these symptoms are seen pretty equally bilaterally. Does anyone have any suggestions or advise? Many thanks, Eagen, PT, CCRT
