Guest guest
Hi Folks, So many of you have just been so wonderful to me about the work we do at Knospe-ABA and so supportive of my book that I wanted to share some of the exciting news surrounding " ETR. " (If you are on several of the same groups I am and receive this more than once, please accept my sincerest apologies). 1. Educate Toward Recovery:Turning the Tables on Autism is now available at more locations! Parentbooks in Ontario, Timberdoodle in Washington, VBTeachingtools in Texas, and Behavior Analysts inc. in California, have all agreed to carry the full volume of ETR and are recommending it to their clientel. But please remember, www.lulu.com/knospe-aba remains the best place to purchase ETR, download the latest free papers on related topics such as The VB approach to ABA, The Seven Steps to Instructional Control, and RDI, as well as read all the latest reviews as well as the ever-growing list of the books important supporters. FYI, Between them, the three free papers mentioned have been dowloaded over 600 times and are now being shared at ABA workshops, conferences, and parent meetings throughout the world! I am so glad that they have been so well received and helpful. 2. Translations, Translations, Translations! I am also proud to announce that ETR is now being translated into three different languages. Versions of ETR (called Motivation and Reinforcement) are set for an October release date in German and Spanish. Work on an Italian version has also recently begun and is expected available at Lulu.com some time in 2008. 3. Autographs? I have also been invited to attend the Book Signing Extraveganza at ABA this year in San Diego. Not sure why anyone would want an autograph but regardless, on Sunday night from 7pm-9pm, my wife Nadine and I will be available to meet with anyone interested in coming by and chatting about ABA/VB, ETR, and autism intervention in general. I am really hoping that some of you who I know only through these lists stop by so we can finally meet face to face. 4. Workshops and Presentations near you? www.lulu.com/knospe-aba is also where you can find out about my upcoming workshops and presentations. 2007 is currently filled and 2008 is booking up fast as well. If you are interested in having a workshop in your area or for your group, please contact our office at knospe-aba@... for infomation. 5. Check out this amazing email, I just received the other day. - I read your book Educate Toward Recovery on the recommendation of my son's speech therapist, and at risk of sounding cliche- it really changed my life (and subsequently my son's as well). Thank you. It was very readable for the non-professional and gave many excellent and clear examples. Actually, and this sounds like a weird statement to make about any nonfiction book but especially a training manual, I really enjoyed it and looked forward to reading more of it every night. Now that I have finished reading the book in its entirety, I reference it every day. I also bought an add'l copy to give on loan to Ben's therapists so that we are all on the same page... Anyway, I just wanted to give a truly heartfelt thank you for your wonderful book. It is an amazing resource and I've been telling everyone about it who will listen. Thanks. e L. Acknowledgement of self promotion: I know that emails like this might stretch the bounds of what some think is appropriate on lists like this. It is on these lists that I began my journey into VB many years ago and it is on these lists that I continue to spend up to several hours a night discussing ABA and autism related issues and offering free advice when I think I can be of some help. I cannot even begin to imagine the number of group emails I have deleted in the past 10 years or so. But, when I receive emails like the one above from e, I feel compelled to continue my work and share information about ETR with more families who could benefit. Thanks again to those of you who have helped me so much over the years. I owe a lot of the quality of ETR to you and the discussions we have had over these lists. Again, if you receive this more than once please accept my sincerest apologies and feel free to delete away :-) Thanks, ________________________ Schramm, MA, BCBA www.lulu.com/knospe-aba www.knospe-aba.com ________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Food fight?
