I am viewing a mand as any request - from the simple " cookie " to " I want lollipop " to " hold me " . Assuming a child sleeping 8 hrs a day - that would mean that would need to make over 60 mands an hour while waking. Is this an accurate intrepretation? Guest guest Posted March 29, 2007 Report Share Posted March 29, 2007 I can't interpret the intent of the Mariposa Manual, but I can tell you that this is consistent with my experience in my daughter's ABA/VB program. When we were really focussing on mand training (keeping clicker data on each mand) we recorded rates up to 110 per hour when we contrived the motivation right.
