Guest guest
Hi Angie! Perfume is one of my biggest triggers if I'm around too much of it. That's what set me off at church but advair is helping me heal faster from my attacks but it's not stopping my attacks but now I'm taking a higher dose of Advair so maybe I'l have better luck next time. I hope summer is better on my breathing if not I won't be seasonal any more this will be a year round problem and I won't get a break from it and my allergist is running out of ideas he says. HUGS!!! Guest guest
hey Wild, >Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â what is your advair dose now? mine is 250 - 50, > doesnt seems to be working at all. _______________________________ It's 100-50 I've started my new dose 250-50 last night and haven't had an attack today even with exercise but of course that's just one day but been having 5 bad days and 2 good days but over all not having as many attacks in a day as I use to so it's brought my asthma down 75% but my allergist wants me to get to having only 2 bad days in a week and I just don't know if that's going to happen. Sounds like your smoking is triggering your asthma. Smoke triggers my asthma too but I don't smoke myself but if I walk through a smoking zone that's enough to do it if I'm around alot of smokers that's a big attack and I end up on the ground and I hate when that happens. With smoking being your trigger it's hard to see improvement when you haven't stopped smoking. that's what you have to do to see improvements I think. I couldn't even imagine how many attacks I would have if I smoke with smoke being my trigger oh man but maybe that's because I don't smoke I really don't know cause some people can smoke and it's not their trigger but sounds like it's yours. I hope you find a way to get relief from your attacks. I think we could all use a break from attacks I know I could. HUGS!!! Guest guest
Hey Wild, you are using only 100 - 50,oh my god,I think your doctor thought you are a samll child or what!!?!??!?.well,I think for adults 250 - 50 is the maintenance dose! Am I not correct? but my allergist wants me to get to having only 2 bad days in a > week and I just don't know if that's going to happen what do you mean by bad day? as far I am concerned bad day means using inhaler more than 4 puffs.perhaps it happens for me randomly.last week,I havent used inhaler totally not more than 6 puffs.but from yesterday things seems to be different I have already used 8 puffs with in one and half day. coming to smoking! well, infact I dont get immediately attack after smoking so I dont know whether its my trigger or not. for example I have smoked nealy 16 cigar last week though I used 6 puffs in 7 seven days.I dont know how to explain this. for me food seems to be main probelm.if I dont eat well or even certain type of food triggers my asthma badly. hope you will achieve your designation of not having asthma for atleast 5 days! Many Greetings, Senthil Kumar.S. ps : you seems to listen my words though your name is wild, hahahahahahahahahaha,BTW thanx for understanding! perhaps thanks is not for listening to me rather for understanding, hahahahahahahaha!Senthil the Funny man! > hey Wild, > >Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â what is your advair dose now? mine is > 250 - 50, > > doesnt seems to be working at all. > > _______________________________ > It's 100-50 > I've started my new dose 250-50 last night > and haven't had an attack today even with exercise but of course that's > just one day but been having 5 bad days and 2 good days but over all not > having as many attacks in a day as I use to so it's brought my asthma > down 75% but my allergist wants me to get to having only 2 bad days in a > week and I just don't know if that's going to happen. Guest guest
Hi ! what I think is that smoking spoils your lungs anyway! even if smoke is not the main trigger since your lungs are not in good condition when you exposed to original trigger you may get attack easily and/or getting cure also become difficult.well, just thought, need not be correct.perhaps, story will be different for people who are all infact allergic to smoke! Many Greetings, Senthil Kumar.S. > Senthil > >coming to smoking! well, infact I dont get immediately attack > >after smoking so I dont know whether its my trigger or not. > >for example I have smoked nealy 16 cigar last week though > > They say it isn't good to be around smoking or to smoke.......but I don't > think it's the actual trigger........I think it more narrows your airways > making it difficult for you to breath which in turn leads to having an attack. > > Like Wilds' problem with perfume.......it's more the fumes than the actual > smoke that causes or indirectly causes the problems. > > > > > in West Auckland, NZ > Cyber Hugs for today/yesterday/tomorrow > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Like Wilds' problem with perfume.......it's more the fumes than the actual smoke that causes or indirectly causes the problems _________________________________ Many substances that don't trigger an allergic response from your body's immune system can still intensify allergy or asthma conditions. Allergists refer to these substances as irritants. Common types of irritants include tobacco smoke, aersols, glue, household cleaners, perfumes and scents, and strongly scented soaps. In some cases, changes of weather conditions can trigger symptoms of rhinitis in susceptible individuals. I found this yesterday. It's not an allergy but it intensifies asthma conditions. I see that as a trigger cause I can have a great green peak flow then smoke or perfume comes in the pic it drops to yellow then if I don't get away from it it keeps dropping until I do. To be that's a trigger. That perfume triggered my asthma attack. But that's my opinion. I didn't know it was this complicated when I first got asthma I really didn't think there was a reason for asthma I just thought some people had asthma and some don't. Trying to understand asthma is another thing all together to me. HUGS!!!
