Guest guest
I have been working with my daughter using flash cards and photos. I started with saying " This is .... " and getting her to repeat. I moved on to showing her the card and asking " What is this... " She has mastered a good number of objects. I am trying to move towards DTT. I am looking for some tips on the correct process/procedure. Here is what I am doing now: I started putting out three different cards and saying " Where is... " or " Show me... " and naming one of the objects. She is able to point to the correct object in most cases. If she gets the item correct I remove that card and place another picture down. I try to reshuffle the other two pictures. If she doesn't respond I will show her the correct card, say " This is... " and get her to repeat. I then put the missed cards in a separate pile. I work the missed cards back into the rotation to see if she can get them next time. Is this a good approach? How can I improve it or built about it?
