Guest guest Posted April 17, 2007 Report Share Posted April 17, 2007 PLAY GROUP/SOCIAL PLAY Play group will consist of: • Circle Time-Which will include a variety of activities that will promote social discussions. They Will practice appropriate and acceptable behaviors as individuals and as a group they will learn their routines, limits, and what is expected of them. • Arts And Crafts- Which will promote creativity. During this time each child will practice the use of fine motor skills. This will teach each child to take pride in his/her own work and give them a sense of independence. • Games- Here the children will play games that will teach them to share, take turns, as well as promoting the proper use of language. • Snack- During this time each child will be given a job for example: (handing out the napkins) this will give them a chance to use good manners , and again promote language. They will learn to clean up after themselves and not depend on anyone else. • Obstacle Course- Here each child will practice the use of gross motor skills which create opportunities for self awareness and physical development.
