montessori and aba

Hi group,

I have gotten a number of posts on my question-so far asking for where

to get the manuel. Lane has a web site at www.tmsfa.com

There is also a new group Montessori for Autism.

I would love to get feed back from professionals and parents about how

to incorporate this into a willing Montessori classroom.

What a coincidence, I just got the book you are taking

about a few days ago from www.cabdevmontessori.com. I

am a trained and certified AMS Montessori teacher and

a parent of a child with special needs. I also took a

class at NECC in ABA. Montessori and ABA are a great

match. So much of the Montessori philosophy and way

of teaching is already incorporated into ABA. The

structure of the classroom and the way you present

materials as a Montessori teacher are already very

much like an ABA therapist does with a little bit of

modification that explains in the book. The

materials are also perfect for ABA because they are

simplified and isolate a specific task. Best of luck,
