Guest guest
Hi Vicki, so far as public vs private school -- to me it would really depend on the particular school and what it could offer that's of benefit, whether it's the classroom size, curriculum or that they will work better with my child, how will they handle his " special " needs.... And of course it's a chance to sort of " start over " socially, possible new friends, etc. I know my son was the " weird " kid too, it's hard!! But is it just this year that others feel he's become " psycho " ? If so, once things " calm down " for him, I think eventually his past friends and others would forget about this year. Just a thought. The only other things I can think of is that - if I recall this right - a private school doesn't have the 504 or IDEA laws apply to them unless they receive federal funding...? Something like that. Quick thoughts. Sounds like you think the meds need adjusted or changed? Has he been on them long? Kids do dumb things sometimes. Just talk to him about how inappropriate that was. What did his sister think? And keep going out, you and dad deserve a day or night out together each week!! This was just one bad night. > > Hi All.... > > Another night ending with tears at our house... no, not our OCD son... > but mine! My husband and I made the mistake of going out to dinner > tonight and leaving my son at home with my daughter... they do great > together... but, the neighbor kids came over and my son proceeded
