Guest guest
Hi, I'm trying to take a 9 year old on the spectrum skiing for the first time (for both of us) in New Jersey. Do any of you have any advice on maximizing the experience. We are not looking to do anything to intense, just spend a few hours so he gets a little familiar with the sport and has a good enough time to want to go back. He's pretty athletic (plays basketball and swims) and has fair to decent coordination. Thanks for any suggestions. --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
Hi, It's funny that you asked because I will be taking an 8 year old who's on the spectrum skiing as well. Are you saying that you have never skied? If so that might be a tough. The boy I am going with has gone a few times, but not with me. His Mother reported that having 2 people with was helpful for slowing him down. Are you going to Campgaw in Mahwah? I have not been there but it seems to be a new skier type of place. Hidden Valley in Vernon is also a nice option. I find Mt. Creek to be very overcrowded.nynydad <ktaylorrat@...> wrote: Hi, I'm trying to take a 9 year old on the spectrum skiing for the first time (for both of us) in New Jersey.
