Guest guest
new Name:Barbara Giebel Email:Bgiebel@... Birthdate:12/14/1964 Location:Oshkosh, WI How long have you been diagnosed:Since 1989 What meds do you currently take:none Employment (if any):work fulltime as a papermill worker Family Life:2 children, daughter 18, and son 5, I had to get help to get pregnant with him, husband 37 Hobbies:Well I love to sew, I play softball and have done so since I was 15, and I am a Captain on a volunteer Fire Dept. and a First Responder, I played volleyball up until I had my son, and now I am going back to school, hopeful to become a nurse. I know this sounds like I don't have Stills Desease, but I have had two reaccurances since 1989, when I almost lost my life to it. I was prescribed to take Ecotrin,(which is a high dose of asprin), and within two weeks, my body shut down. I was rushed from the hospital I was in to Madison University Hospital where through a process of elimination and alot of hard work on there part, they came up with the Stills desease. My family went through the worst of it because they all had to come in and say good-bye to me, and have the minister give me my last rights. Some how I made a turn around, you see my liver shut down, my kidneys shut down, and my lungs collapsed. My family was told there is a very slim chance that I would recover and if I did there was a good chance I would have some brain damage, due to the fact that they could not get me breathing for a while. So here I am, I don't know why, but I'm sure I have more to finish in this life, I just don't know what it is yet. As far as I know, I don't have brain damage, but who really knows, I am a happy go lucky type of person. I take each day as it comes, and always try to pick out the best of every moment. MY FAVORITE SAYINGS, " Where one door closes, another one opens " , " Take each day and make the most of it " So hello to everyone on here, I wish I could take your pain away, and remember someone loves you.
