Guest guest
The Chevron Houston Marathon is this Sunday, January 13. FEAT-Houston has partnered with OAR (Organization for Autism Research) to raise funds for applied autism research through the Houston Marathon. Join us on Sunday morning at Mile 7 to cheer on the runners. It's quite a breathtaking sight when the fastest runners come into sight and it's a lot of fun to cheer on the packs of runners who follow. Mile 7 is at the corner of Parkway and Studemont. The best time to watch runners at mile 7 will be between 7:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Look for the slate-blue " Run for Autism " t-shirts some of us will be wearing. If you have some time to volunteer on Friday or Saturday, OAR has requested volunteers to help hand out brochures at the marathon packet pickup on Friday and Saturday. Please contact me at gbliss1@... if you can volunteer. So far, the OAR team has raised $22,000. Way to go! Thanks to everyone who has made a donation! It's not too late to donate. Contact me if you'd like to do so. Finally, best wishes to everyone running in the marathon, half-marathon, or 5K!!!! Geraldine
