Guest guest
Hey there IOWL Members! My name is Jess and I am the group moderator of the MySpace and FaceBook IOWL Groups. Here is a link to the MySpace group: http://groups.myspace.com/insideoutweightlossofficial But my main goal here is to wish everyone to have or have had happy holidays and hope that you did okay the two days! If not, here are a few tips to concider for New Year's or Christmas Day: 1. Eat a quick small snack before the main meal. *This helps lessesn your appetite especially for desserts. 2. If you are pressured to eat more, simply respond (politely), " Thank you for your offering, but I really am fine and full. " *Good responses let the host know that you are well taken care of. 3. Do activities requiring movement during the holidays. *THis can be like Dance, Dance Revolution to start burning those holidays cookies away. 4. Serve yourself a decent portion first. *Most of the time we see piles of food and we rush! Get a good portion of each, like a half-handful if there are more than ten different varieties to get samples and quickly fill up. 5. Enjoy eating! *If we feel good after we eat, we have tendencies to eat less later and just enjoy the festivities with laughter. Plus we also burn calories when we laugh a ton so have fun! These are quick tips to help you during those If-y moments. And check out the groups and have yourself happy holidays! Stay positive and be present! - Jess
