Guest guest
It’s my understanding that because the virus is very cunning and can build a resistance to once tx, that if you retreat, they generally try you on the other kind from what you did before. If you did Peg-Intron first, you do Pegasys next. If the second one fails also, they try Infergen, which is often daily injections. It depends on why you couldn’t finish tx also. For people like Del & Deb, their bodies couldn’t handle the tx, so another try on the same meds might be called for. For someone like you (a non responder) or for a relapser (did well on tx, but VL came back when tx was done), then that when they would try the other meds. It’s similar to the way germs get immune to certain antibiotics, I guess. The virus can mutate somewhat, and you can be infected with more than one genotype. Logic makes me wonder if maybe you had a & b all along but maybe your b was primary and got knocked down a bit on tx and let the a become more detectable. They could never tell if I had a or b, just 1, so it could just have something to do with the samples or the handling of them. I’ll look for some info to post for you, . tx didn't work Just want to say hello to everyone, AS most of ya " ll know I did 28weeks of tx and it just didn't work for me.
