Guest guest
Hi group, I know this is sort of off topic for this group, but my son has a huge problem with dysregulation (want to do what he wants to do). We never got anywhere in attacking this in our Lovaas ABA program. If anything, he became better at outwitting the behavioral strategies than the list of seniors did in developing them. Now we are starting RDI and amazingly enough getting some success along with applying the concept of rules and consequences. Recently someone brought up Serena Wieder's work and parent coaching. Does anyone know exactly what her stance is and what if any connections/borrowing RDI/Gutstein has done from Floortime? Again, I realize this is not the focus of the group, but it is something that seems to be working after years of failure with functional analysis, and a laudry list of behavioral programs Thanks, Alice
