Guys, Im gonna be in and out over the next couple of days,, my daughter hademergency surgery last nite after we had to take her back to the ERfor more abdominal pain.. The previous admit which was 2 weeks ago,she was diagnosed with an abscess in her pelvis and admitted to thefloor for 4 days. The doc who took over after she went to the floordecided that it was not an abscess but couldnt tell us what it was,,and told my daughter to come in this week to his office for anotherultrasound.... well she called last week and was told he was onvacation, which we knew but his office refused to make an appt for herand told her to call back this week, so she did and he was STILL onvacation,, and they told her to call back NEXT week... well yesterdayall of a sudden, it all came back, the pain, the sickness and we wentback to the hosp and another gyn doc looked at her and admitted herand took her to surgery to clean out the abscess that the other docsaid was not there!!!! Amazing how he kept her on antibiotics by IVfor 4 days, then sent her home with another weeks worth of antibioticsby mouth... guess his vacation was more important and you all can betthat he IS going to hear from me soon! Jackie, I am so sorry that doctor put your daughter through all of that......and I hope this new doctor has fixed everything for her.....I have 2 daughters myself and the youngest has suffered with endo for a long time.....it's a scary time for everybody.....just wanted you to know that you and your family are in my prayers ....... I was shocked to read this this morning, had thought was on the mend,

Thanks Sheena and everyone.. She was better yesterday but today she seems really really sick,, she doesnt have a fever but her white count is back up through the roof, and she is anemic,, not as bad as some here on tx, but her hemoglobin is down to about 9.0 and her hematocrit is somewhere about 26 I think the nurse said.. She's not eating much and is very very grouchy today so I think she just needs to sleep so we came home so she could rest for a bit and we'll go back up later on tonite.. I put a call into the docs office and asked for him to call me so Im waiting to see what he has to say... Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts,, I sure hope she will be ok,, Ill be back later on tonite and update ya

I suffer from empty nest syndrome so my hubby said I should do something and I did , I went and got a job today . I am going to be a cashier at Albertson's (union yipee) grocery store . The doc who took over after she went to the floordecided that it was not an abscess but couldnt tell us what it was,,and told my daughter to come in this week to his office for anotherultrasound.. .. well she called last week and was told he was onvacation, which we knew but his office refused to make an appt for herand told her to call back this week, so she did and he was STILL onvacation,, and they told her to call back NEXT week... well yesterdayall of a sudden, it all came back, the pain, the sickness and we wentback to the hosp and another gyn doc looked at her and admitted herand took her to surgery to clean out the abscess that the other docsaid was not there!!!! Amazing how he kept her on antibiotics by IVfor 4 days, then sent her home with another weeks worth of antibioticsby mouth... guess his vacation was more important and you all can betthat he IS going to hear from me soon! My daughter could have beenleft infertile or she could have died... she was very very sick lastnite and I was very afraid for her..She is much better tonite so hopefully this new doc has fixed theproblem,, but Ill be in and out for the next couple of days,, so justwanted to let ya all know and to ask for prayers, good thoughts,positive karma whatever you believe in for my daughter! was sure sick going in, we must have patience and

Congrats on the job!! I remember when I

lived in California,

the Albertson’s cashier jobs paid very well!! Way to go!!

I did supermarket cashier work………..uh,

around 1968!! No scanning back then or electronic registers!! If the item

wasn’t marked, we either knew it by heart or yelled out to the others……….Green

Giant Peas 16 ounce!! Usually one of the other cashiers would know the price J

And we had to know how to make change in

those days too…….
