Guest guest
Your ammmonia level isn't high enough for a doctor to start you on lactulose but he should keep close watch cause it will get high eventually . You can do thingsd like eliminating red meat which is high in protein (it's protein from red meat that can turn into ammonia ) eat other sources of protein to stay healthy . ammonia levels Hi allI have some test results. ammonia -51, iron 166, and feritin 41. Guest guest
Hey I was put on lactulose at end of 2006 for High Ammonia levels. I could not handle it because of other reasons. I am guessing the stuff is not a medicine that is bad for you like " pain pills " . I have 4-1 pint bottles left, Have been unopened and kept in cool dry room temprature. They are dated that I got them on 12/28/06 - My birthday. Anyway IF IT IS NOT UNETHICAL or illeagal or harmfull I will give them away. I know this is kinda on the edge of thigs to offer here and if it is please let me know. I just hate to throw them away. And just so I will know, Is this stuff as harmless as I think it is or should I not give this to anyone even off line. I just don't know on this one and my judgment has not been the greatest of late. Just trying to help anyone who can't afford it. Guest guest
I don't know if it's " harmless " or not, but it is a regulated drug, so I'd be careful. If something happened to another, you could be held liable. I do know that this stuff can give you a good case of diarrhea! And constant, too. > > > > Your ammmonia level isn't high enough for a doctor to start you on > lactulose but he should keep close watch cause it will get high > eventually . Guest guest
It's not just the ammonia they looked at , they use a combination of subjective (mental confusion /shakey hands etc)and objective(blood ammonia levels) scores to determine if someone has high enough ammonia to take the lactulose . ammonia levels Hi allI have some test results. ammonia -51, iron 166, and feritin 41. Guest guest
Michale said my lactulose is out of date, I kinda of figured. My symptoms are light headed to full spinning, Kinda like being on a merry-go-round that never ends. Some days I have to hold on to walls for balance. My thinking process has degraded bad, I used to be able to think of ten things at once while doing two thing's with both hands and at same time run large crews and corporations. Now I can bairly write a letter. I have several short story's and a half finished novel I can't finish. It's kinda like going from a new fast computor with High speed down to an old 386 with win 95 and a dial up connection. The info is there but just not processing real fast. If I get three things going at once I get confused, Any more than that I have to transfer to left side of brain and put in holding pattern. I am/was fully amodextrious but anymore I just lock up. It all started with ny first injection of interferion. For some reason I can not handle it. One injection and my bones go into Dante's 5th level of hell never to return. One more injection and 30 minutes later I will be complete cripple but DO have a second bone problem from chemical exposure. Sorry got off track again, Ammonia levells started getting bad at end of 2006 and that is when brain got real bad as decribed above. The funny thing is those friggen pain pills are the only thing that levels it out????. Have been off of interferion for 6 years now but bones never got better. Wish I had never tried it but I AM DIFFERENT than most so not to scare others. A good ol' bowell movement helps with ammonia but it is a perminant feature in my life now. I know I went all over the place explaning this, It is a high Ammonia day..go figure If I did not answer your question ask again and will do better next time. I am aslo having some strange Guy problems that MAY mean cancer but don't want to post them here...it's a guys thing... Guest guest
believe or not Butch, but we girls have husbands. LOL Well some of us do. But if you have any questions that you would like to ask about the "guy" problems then feel free to email me, and I will search for a answer for you. My husband was having some guy problems and (not impotence) but other things and we found through his doctor and our own research some answers and solutions for him. One thing you guys need to be aware of is prostate cancer. And have a check up regularly for it. Just because there is a lot of women on this board doesn't mean we don't care about Men's health issues, we love ya guys. We got to take care of our guys here too. Guest guest
Aw heck You mentioned the impotence word so now I gotta clear this up. Don't know any other way than just say it. This could be serious and my only doctor is www.webmd. First off EVERTHING works just fine, My energy levell has fallen so low I don't have the energy anymore and had to quit dating because of energy and my dumb luck. I would get a girl that was great and normal for a month then a light swith would go off and loony toons, It's a running joke in my familly. That's why I am 50 and succesfully single. Married twice years ago but short lived. Oh yea my guy problem. #1 Knot on tendon on right bottom foot for eight years, Asked many doctors and no one would even look at it, I now have one on my left testees where I had surgery years ago when In my twentys. I was riding my bike a lot and one day the fella swole up real big. Doc sent me into emergency surgery because the blood vein that supply's blood to my buddys twisted and blocked blood flow. Common problem and they just stiched the blood vein to one of em. Now I have the same type hard knot as on foot where they sewed the vain. It feels like a calcium deposit but thats just a guess. #2 is a 3 part problem, I told my doc about it when I was losing my disability, He only checked one symptom that sounds like kidney infection and was all happy that I did not have kidney infection and tried to make me out a liar. All 3 together could meen colan cancer but he did not care about that, I think his mind was on what kind of car my disability insurance ( HARTFORD )was going to buy him. I was cancled because i did not LOOK sick...got the paper to prove it. Any hoo the symptoms have been going on since 11/06 and was dating for a short while then and once since, I get burning when I pee and when I reach that place where your in heaven " hint hint " and a very sharp pain in annus when I reach heaven and sometimes just out of nowhere. God that was embarasing but you all usally give me more info than real doctors, Hopefully someone can tell me what My problem or problems may be. I first thaught STD on last problem but everything I have read says no? I have been fighting insurance, doctors and my government for so long I don't have any fight left. The ONLY way I am going to get doctor help is finding a poverty hospital, Don't have the energy for that eather but if you guys think this is serious enough to sit for hours/days in a waiting room I will. Without sounding bitter or negative cancer would be a blessing at this point. Over a decade fighting the same fight and losing everytime is getting real old. There ya have it . Guest guest
I'm not a guy, but I'd want to KNOW what that bump is. I have to pester my doc until he gives in and does any particular kind of test. I'd think a biopsy would be relatively easy in your case. PESTER the HE!! out of him or find a poverty doc. If it FEELS serious to you, that's when you get on the ball (pun) and find out what's going on. I'm not a guy and certainly not a doc, but that's what I'd do in your shoes.Sharon in NW Washington Knitting is...time and love made tangible. Alison Hyde Re: ammonia levelsAw heckYou mentioned the impotence word so now I gotta clear this up. It feels like a calcium deposit but thats just a guess.#2 is a 3 part problem, I told my doc about it when I was losing my disability, He only checked one symptom that sounds like kidney infection and was all happy that I did not have kidney infection and tried to make me out a liar. All 3 together could meen colan cancer but he did not care about that, I think his mind was on what kind of car my disability insurance ( HARTFORD )was going to buy him. I was cancled because i did not LOOK sick...got the paper to prove it. Any hoo the symptoms have been going on since 11/06 and was dating for a short while then and once since, I get burning when I pee and when I reach that place where your in heaven "hint hint" and a very sharp pain in annus when I reach heaven and sometimes just out of nowhere. Guest guest
Okay you did mention that you had surgery on the little guys. Or one of the little guys. Sometimes you can get scar tissue in that area of surgery site and yes it can cause pain. Now burning while peeing well still could be the scar tissue adding pressure to the area. My husband had a vasectomy when he was just 20 years old. Nope wasn't me, it was his first wife. I wouldn't have asked him to do that at that young age. But later on it caused some problems because of the scar tissue. Just some pain on ejaculation. And that is no fun. Nothing too intense but painful enough. We went and saw a urologist and he prescribed believe it or not some anti-depressants. Zoloft I believe it was, and some other medications. It seem to clear up the problems. He had some lost of sensation upon ejaculation but that too cleared up. Now he is all better. *smile* He is only 52 and still a active person. If this is a actually lump on the boys then you need to have it checked out. If you can talk to us, then you can talk to anyone. Like a good urologist. If you need help in finding one, I am sure someone on this board can help you. Don't let them doctors bully you around. Beside you have me at your back. I will teach them to mess with my friends.Ah Ha WoW and I kicked him in the knee Sir. *Inside joke* Yeah I would have it checked out. I think it is serious enough. The boys is nothing to be casual about. Hey if I found a lump or knot in my girls, I would be at the doctor office post haste friend. I have 2 brothers, and 2 sons, numerous foster sons, and a husband (Well I have had two husbands, one just has stuck with my crazy butt longer than the first one did. I don't know if he is a saint or a fool. LOL) And believe me they all talk to me about their man problems. Maybe because I don't laugh about it and I find a way to get it taken care of. Heck, my son had a date today, and while he is 31, I was running around the house looking for condoms for him. LOL That is the cool kind of mom I am. Be safe out there son. LOL All joking aside, I really care and will answer any question you have to the best of my ability. Guest guest
Man tough decision. Both can get into the water table. You remember that new article that circulated the internet for a while, saying that there was drugs in the drinking water from people flushing their meds and from waste. Flush it, heck what could it hurt. There already is anti-botics, anti-depressants and so forth in the drinking water, a little lactulose might be good for the general public. LOL Just kidding. I am over worked and not paid at all at this point. Love Janetbutchholland2002 wrote: I just looked on bottle and it goes out 06/08. That's only a couple weaks and that is cutting it too close.
