Gail,

Sorry to hear of your father in law’s

passing.

Hope your symptoms arrest themselves soon.

I know that the stress plays a huge factor in it all so hopeufly you will get

some down time soon and regain your strength.

Thanks so much for your lovely words and support. In regards looking

stunning in a swimsuit, i will settle with not looking gross. I dont

have high expectations, when you come from where i have you learn to

not hope for too much.

Hubby did lose alot of weight last year as well, but has been a bit

naughty and put some back on. After our xmas holiday we both have

slacked off, but while i have the band to stop my quantities he doesnt

so he has put back on and i have had a slower loss but a loss all the

same.

You will get there as well hun, its all about restriction and what you

are prepared to do to get there. I have very tight restriction,

probably too tight. I pb at least 1 meal a day, cannot eat brekkie

and fight with dinner. If i eat or drink later than 8pm i get woken

in the middle of the night choking and bringing up water/bile. When i

have my fill out for my nips and tucks, im not having it all put back,

i want some relief and do not plan to live the rest of my life like

this. My surgeon said i wasnt putting my band at risk so i thought it

was worth it to get to where i wanted to be b4 my surgery. Some will

say its stupid and irresponsible and my sensible self will agree, but

the non sensible self says ahhhhh only 55 more sleeps...lol I do not

recommend my way to anyone, but i have been glad to do it. We also do

not socialise a great deal so it hasnt encroached on that. I think i

would of had big problems had we eaten out alot.

Now lastly as for the pics of me in a bathing suit, i doubt very much

tthat it will happen. I do not have the confidence for that. But i

will be putting up my pre and post op pics for reference for every one

else.

Hugs

Gail

Hi Gail - I understand we all do this journey differently in regard

to restriction and for me personally I just can't handle the tight

restriction - it makes me miserable, but have yet to experiment with

the number I think will be right for me as I am loosened off at the

moment in prep for a holiday, but ready to tackle it on my return.

Did you share the news of your op with many people? I have told alot

of family, friends and colleagues and whilst it has been a good

support in the down times, I actually carry guilt in that I have not

yet made a great success of this tool and I hope people are not

judging me and I try and keep the " F " word (failure) out of my

thoughts - just a temporary set back. It is so supportive to be

online with a group of people who understand and who have

similarities in their journeys, but also differences, so comparing is

a dangerous thing for us. By the time we have the conference in

Sydney late next year, we are going to be in a room full of gorgeous

woman who have come so far - I'm sure it will be so much fun.

Good luck with your upcoming ops. You won't know yourself in that

new tight body. I can't wait for my own set of perky boobs one

day!!! (ha,ha)

Cheers

I

go back to the doc Thursday next week, so we’ll see then.

RE:

Moo

Boy I sure know how much

those cortisone shots hurt.Had to get them in my elbows because of

tendenitis.Hope things improve for you soon. The doctor probably had to do some

scraping away of the arthritis and it seems to prolong the pain when this is

done, but is also neccessary.Hope things improve soon. When will they be starting

you on physiotherapy?

We

love you and are anxious to hear what the doc has to say after your appt.

Logic says it can’t do as much damage when you’ve cleared as it can

if you haven’t. You’re still better off than if you hadn’t

cleared or if you hadn’t treated at all. And like it or not, age still

takes it toll on us just like everyone else without hep.

Love

& hugs,

RE:

Needed: Persistence of Hepatitis C Virus in Patients Successfully Treated for

Chronic Hepatitis C

Don't feel bad,that is

why they did the biopsy on me last month.Apparently the hep can act up without

a viral count but the specialist said I was ok and I see him monday to see

about getting my kidneys checked next.I was shocked when I found out it could

come back on me again even after 9yrs of being undetectable.I will be

asking a lot of questions when I see him monday. They were talking about putting

me on treatment again before the biopsy.Thank god the biopsy was ok.
