Guest guest
Oh Maree, I understand how you feel. I really do. But there is a solution and you will know the right thing to do when you have processed this. The way you were treated isn't acceptable or fair. Surgeon arrogance is not OK, let alone some ditzy little receptionist's attitude. Hang in there and know that we are here for you. Guest guest
Hi Maree So sorry to hear about Friday. Talbot is fabulous, couldn't recommend him highly enough. I think he is quite use to us banders being pushy lol. Had this conversation with him a couple of weeks ago. Chin up and have a bloody good drink (Gin & squash works for me) Cheers Nic > > re the support and generous comforting words. Guest guest
Hi Brigette, My name is . I found out about my hep C during a pregnacy check up. My daughter is 7 years old and she is neg. I know at that time they didnt recommend breast feeding because they were unsure about it. My daughter tested positive for hep C the first 16 months. The way they explained it was that she is born with your antibodies so the final test wont be until 16 months. I think if you want to have kids to not let it hold you back as long as you are in the begining stages. That is my personal opinion. brigette2448706 wrote: I wanted to thank everyone for the replies to my New post. It helps me to hear other people's stories and experiences. I am praying that this was a false positive for me, I know I am probably grasping at straws but at least there is a little hope! What are your thoughts on having kids once you know you have Hep C? I ask because I have been married for 4 months and all my life have wanted to be a mother, I just fear that I am putting a child at risk! I have read its only a 5% chance but still scares me! What is the biggest thing that changed in your life since you found out you had hep C? Do you still feel like "yourself"? I don't know much about this diease, I used to only know about the stigma that was attached to it, and after doing research all weekend I realized the stigma is not true! I appreciate all the support and information, every little bit helps! Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage.

Guest guest
And you can’t get pregnant on treatment or for 6 months after. The meds are too dangerous. RE: Thanks Everyone I have four children and got hep from transfusions after my first child was born.My last three children are checked and they are ok.If it were me in your shoes,I would get treatment first before I even considered getting pregnant. The risk is low to pass it on,but I also know of at least one women who's child has it because she had it.She not only has to deal with having it herself but also the fact that her child has it and it is harder to treat a child. It is still experimental, when it comes to children.Go on birth control, find out if you really do have it and if you do,see about treatment while you are still young and can bounce back quickly after treatment. Each person the disease progresses at a different rate.Right now you don't have kids and if treatment is hard on you, your husband can work to keep the house going until you are well enough to go back to work.Once you have family and debts it is harder, because treatment with some people can really knock the sail out of you.I was 54-55 when I had treatment and haven't been able to work since 47 because of this disease.By the time I was 47 I already had it for 26yrs.You want to be a mom when you know you will have the energy to keep up with that child and be around to raise it.
