What:A 9-week INTENSIVE Parent Education Class Who: Parents of Children with Autism or Other Developmental Delays When:Tuesday Evenings Beginning September 2, 2008 - October 28, 2008 from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Registration Deadline is August 12, 2008. Where:FEAT-NT Building in North Richland Hills 4239 Road to the Mall, North Richland Hills, Texas 76180 Costs:$350/Family (Maximum 2 persons per family) Course Materials and Refreshments will be provided. NO childcare provided. What you will learn: •How Behavior Analysis approaches teaching new skills •How to teach basic and advanced forms of Verbal Behavior/Language •How to develop and foster play and social skills •How to effectively deal with challenging behavior •To teach your child how to be more independent at home and in the community •How to make a happier more positive environment at home •Ways to better encourage your child •To help your child enjoy fulfilled activities that will result in a more meaningful life •How to approach mainstreaming and determining appropriate school placement. If you are seeking to maximize your home as a learning environment, and you're eager to learn and practice new skills in a light-hearted and pleasant atmosphere, then this course is for you! Space is limited to 35 families, so call now! This course is being offered at a discounted rate in an effort to provide information that may be cost prohibited if sought out individually. Each family can have the child's two parents attend or any combination of one parent and a caregiver, grand parent or teacher.
