Maybe I canget ice at my layover airport. How do you all travel with your shots? I am going to be flying the dayafter I take my shot. Will I feel ok? I am sure no one can reallytruly answer this. But I am anxious because I have not startedtreatment yet and will be flying next month. Worst case senario I feellike crap and just sit in the airport and wait it out. What more canone do?I talked to my dr today and he is getting my meds ready to ship to myhouse. So I will probably be getting them overnight in a couple ofdays. So I will start treatment either this Friday or next Friday.Wish me luck.

Guest guest
Do you need to bring a letter from your doctor? I contacted Air Canada, and the wouldn't guarantee that they would keep my meds refrigerated, and security will not let me pass with an ice pack or even a bottle of cold water. :/ Travelling to Vegas (6 hour flight with a stopover) next month, haven't contacted an another airline just yet.... > > > > Hello everyone, > > > > I am booking a flight and I am planning on keeping my meds with an > ice > > pack in my carry on. Guest guest
Can you do an overnight UPS ice pack to your destination ? I get my kitty's insulin that way. I can't remember the name of the other carrier--Brain fog is wonderful. Then you won't have to fight with the airlines. You'd have to have someone sign on the other end. says she only lives 10 minutes away. It may be an option. Or check with your hotel. I've not done tx so I don't know if it has to be ice packed, but it appears from the posts that it does. We may be sending lots of stuff to meet us at our destination with all the airline restrictions. By the way, I DO NOT work for UPS. I just can't remember the names of the other overnight carriers at this time. I am sure diabetics have the same problem. Good luck !!! Guest guest
I’d be worried that they could lose the shipment……then you’re screwed. I can’t believe that the airlines don’t make accommodations for people with this type of situation. Guest guest
ok, he said that he carries it in his carry-on and declares it along with the cold pack. You need to call the airlines and tell them what you have and how you are going to carry it. A small insulated lunch bag should be good. You do not want them to take control of it, you need to keep it with you. The cold pack should keep it fine. Remember it cannot be more that 3 oz on medication. That is a lot! (Are you going to do 1 shot per week or more?). You can also go online and see that the meds are permitted according to TAS. I hope this helps. PS I also have another co-worker who took her injectable insulin to Vegas on the plane.. Steph Ruggio wrote: One of the executives here travels every month with his insulin...
