On the matter of what curricula at more advanced levels of more advanced learners, to teach, of the paucity of material or direction, thereof? This question does come up time and time again but I haven't seen a satisfactory answer to it, myself, that I can recall. Maybe because the answer is so logically " simple, " if not obvious? (or contentious) I have to deduce (from the science) that it would be somewhat up to the schools/state (those who know, and are paying, demanding, perhaps?) what that would be, taught to the method of ABA, as of accomodations and modifications, (minor) thereof, (including task analysis) or, where the student is identified as a special-needs individual " not " entirely suitable to the mainstream curricula, (of " major " modifications, and accomodations) develop a curricula to the student's interests that most effectively addresses the student's needs (with care-giver input, a must) as things develop one-on-one of interacting with the student, thereof, of curricula as you go. There. An " answer " in lieu of not knowing more clearly what else to do, towards teaching advanced if not more mature learners -- towards understanding your student better and teaching to that -- towards the student understanding you better and getting what s/he needs, thereof. It should be " interesting, " I more than suppose, what needs to be taught, step-by-step of success begets success, no doubt! Oh, what a feeling. Doing it is the " hard " part, for me.. . of, so much " multi-tasking " ! It takes a lot of help and resources for good results with that, otherwise, you limit yourself of " priorities " . A certain critical mass may be essential in that respect, " I " suspect. Does that make sense? That'd be all I could hope to do, re., education. Then there's the other things (of the other side of the equation) of what we need, thereof, to support that, as with the biomedical of health, attention, etc. There's as much in that respect as anything else is my sense of what we can do, to optimize results.
