Subject: FREE Insurance and funding seminar

Parents:

Have you had problems trying to figure out insurance for your child's speech, OT

or other services? Would you like ABA and been turned down or just haven't the

hours it takes for approval, appeals, etc? Do you just need home health care

(respite)? Have you ever wondered what is a co-pay and does it count toward the

out-of-pocket or yearly deductible? and... what is an individual " out of pocket

cost anyway " ? in pocket? etc.....

Look no further, , Director and Teacher of The Applied Behavior

Center of Indiana for autism, and Goodson, attorney at law will be

presenting a free workshop for parents of children with autism, asperger's or

PDD-NOS and other developmental disabilities this SATURDAY! beginning at 10:30

Hello. I am having problems with my insurance company. My daughter is

now 6 1/2 years old and has autism. She has been receiving services

since 2004 for OT and speech. Just recently my EOB's were coming back

saying we needed to prove medical necessity, duration, frequency of

services. So all these things were provided for the insurance co. Now

all EOBs are coming back classifying it as developmental delay. All

these services and the scripts getting sent are autism, abnormal

auditory perception, sensory processing disorder. They from my

standpoint are just trying to get out of paying for these services

since it's starting to add up. But as far as I know autism is not

considered dev. delay but a dev. disorder. I plan on getting my

doctor on writing a letter for us but I want to be prepared as much

as possible. Autism according to the American Psychiatric

Association is a Pervasive Developmental Disorder. I just don't see

how they can reclassify autism which is her primary diagnosis as a

developmental delay which in of itself is another diagnosis. Can I

report them to somebody?

Any info will help,,

Lane
