Guest guest
Appreciate you sharing that! It has to do with diabetes numbers regarding a test that measures an 'average' of what ones blood-glucose has been for around the last three months. (more weighted to the last month)Guidelines have been changing recently, as it 'used-to-be' anything under 7.0, and still is in many cases, however, more doctors are starting to prefer to at least 'attempt' to get it under 6.0., if possible. So, my number/s are GREAT-! :-)Since I'd been told that the Hep C 'likely' exacerbated the Diabetes, I thought that I'd send the info. >> I have no clue what your talking about but I am happy your happy lol> [Hepatitis_C_ Central] My A1C Result.....> > > > My most recent A1C was 5.6-!-! Guest guest
I am glad you are doing okay! Yes, it's very good, as long as I don't go HYPO-! (yeech, NOT fun)However, the med that I've been using recently doesn't cause hypos when used by itself (Januvia/Sitaglipti n)So, going hypo is no longer currently a problem for me. (YAY);-)Like I said (typed-?) in another post, the recommendations seem to be shifting lately, but, I'm under the 'new-standard' as well, so, I can't ask for any better than 'that' result. From what I'd been told, the Glucose Tolerance Test isn't used very much anymore. That's the one where You're fasting, then they give You a (nasty-tasting) Glucose-drink, then take a blood-sample at regular intervals-? (it was 6 tests for mine)'Some' doctors still prefer to use that test, from what I'd been told it's not commonly used anymore and it's mostly the 'old-school' doctors that use it.Either that, or it may be a doctor that wants to be 'extra-thorough'. Not a bad thing in that case. IMPO> > > > > > > > > > My most recent A1C was 5.6-!-!
