Guest guest
WONDERFUL NEWS !!!! You go girl & you'll be a dragon slayer extrordinaire soon. SuZie & Sir SpYke the Cheerleader " B." wrote: Okay folks...can I get a drum roll please! Undectable at 10 weeks!! Just got the news today. So here's my stats: Started tx on January 4th. Age 50 - 145 pounds. Pegasys at 180 mcg and ribavirin at 1,000 mg. I'm genotype 2 with grade 1 fibrosis, stage 2 inflammation. Starting viral load - 3,190,000. At week 4 viral count had dropped significantly to just 136 -- but they were looking for undetectable since I am genotype 2. So they recommended continuing tx for 48 weeks instead of just 24 weeks. Last injection is scheduled to be November 28th, 2008. Sides have been: low red blood count and this would cause fatigue and shortness of breath. I'm now using Procrit (weekly injection) on a week by week basis as needed. Red blood count now at 11.2 -- so holding off this week. The other major side effect I have to deal with is nausea...every day. For it, I take two prescriptions -- Zofran and Phenergan -- use ginger and believe it or not -- pretzels (go figure). I also have to be sure to eat a little something every two hours or wham! So far I've gained three pounds on tx. After a fresh infusion of love from my family visiting me in Texas from California last week-- I was good to go the distance. And if that wasn't enough inspiration...now this!! Dragon on the run!!! You guys were there for me in the beginning, you're still there for me now, and we'll finish this together and carry on for others! With much gratitude, Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Dorsey ~~ Now that's a tx buddy!! In fact, I have elected you to be the President of The B. Fan club -- LOL! Thanks for all your kind words. We're in this together....every inch of the way. Had a pretty good week this week -- maybe the best one in the last 3 months. Had my 12th interferon injection last night. Last week I got to skip my Procrit shot when my red blood count went back up to 11.2, but this week it dropped back to 10.0, so it was a shot tonight. Hey, I don't mind because I want to finish strong. DORSEY PETERSON wrote: Great News !! I am SO HAPPY for you!! I know this was great news for you and a relief to hear too!
