Guest guest
Video Entertainment Group, I hope someone on the list has already solved our family's problem and will post the answer to the list. My son,Colin, has the dual dx/autism and spastic diplegia. He is nonverbal and nonambulatory. He loves the Muppets and other videotaped entertainment. He has access issues with DVDs and destroys them in minutes. Videos are becoming difficult to find. Has anyone figured out how to covert DVDS to videos? Does anyone know of a business that sells new or old videos? Colin is 17YO. Watching videos is not just entertainment for Colin. He learns language by using his voice output device to recreate and practice saying things he hears on the videos. Thanks for any help, ,Colin P's mom
Guest guest
Hi , You should be able to record DVDs to your VCR yourself. I'm not sure what connections you would need to make, but you could probably find out by reading your VCR manual or searching the internet. Also, garage sales often have lots of video tapes. Also try children's resale shops and thrift stores and Ebay, of course. Freecycle is another option. Many people have videos to give away. I think you can find a group for your area at www.freecycle.org. Hope something helps! Marilyn
