Hurry Don't Miss this Fantastic Proffessional Workshop!

Teaching Verbal Behavior: Comprehensive Program Development Workshop

October 16-19, 2008

This FOUR-day workshop presented by Holly Kibbe, MS, BCBA and Cherish Twigg, MS,

BCBA, is designed to provide consultants, therapists and parents (who take an

active role in their child's language program) with guided practice in

implementing the methods described in Introductory Verbal Behavior Workshops.

This workshop combines both the workshop entitled Teaching Verbal behavior in

the Intensive Teaching Environment (ITT) and, Teaching Verbal Behavior in the

NET, into a full four-day comprehensive workshop. During the first two days,

participants will spend most of their time practicing the methods of effective

instruction demonstrated during the Intro Workshop. Participants will have the

opportunity to develop intensive teaching programs based upon a completed ABLLS

grid and will learn the skills necessary to implement these programs. Individual

feedback will be provided. During the last two days of this workshop,

participants will receive precise methodology to teach children with autism

across all learner levels in the natural environment. Participants will also

have the opportunity during these last two days to develop NET programs, create

lesson plans and learn strategies to assist in contriving motivation across all

learner levels.

Problem Behavior and Potty Training

The focus of this workshop will be problem behaviors that often occur in

the home and school. An emphasis will be placed on the function of the behavior

rather then the form of the behavior. By concentrating on the analysis of the

function of the disruptive behavior, we are able to develop a more effective

method of changing the problem behavior by teaching a more desirable replacement

behavior. Effective procedures and techniques will be demonstrated through

video.
