- Welcome to Fantasy World. Yes, this surgery is a fantasy come

true. I was 66 when I had the DS. My knees hurt soooo bad. I could

stand or walk only short periods. The difference was one of the first

things I noticed post-op! Now I go up stairs without puffing, and am

very conscious of not needing to stop on a landing - or before someone

hears me.

Besides, I got rid of high b/p, diabetes II, sleep apnea, arthritis

pain, and the equivalent of a whole person! Being a grandma is now

twice the fun. Looking forward to meeting you at a Delano mtg.

Hey Everyone,I'm new here to this group and would like to wish everyone a warm hello. I'm a 46 yr old married female diagnosed with Hep C on Jan 15th 2008. I have just completed my 5th week on treatment. Got some side effects slowing me down for the moment. Good thing I started out kinda hyper or I might be at a complete stand still right now! =)

Injection 6 today! I'm kinda getting used to the brain fade a bit.

Still make notes just in case. It's hard concentrating if I have to

drive far. The nausea is pretty much gone thanks to my Dr. That's

quite the relief there! The fatigue has pretty much gotten worse every

week. I don't have the stress of having to go to work right now(Thanks

Kraft) So I do what big stuff I can do...usually in the morning...then

pretty much wiped out for the day. To get the little things done I just

shift into zombie mode and kinda putter around...looks like aimless

wandering to some. I'm also one of those non-sleepers. My Doctor

wanted to take away my Ambien and I said no way...that's a guaranteed 4

hours right there! =)

Peace!

Carleen

Welcome Carleen,

It's good to have a sense of humor! We wish you continued success with

your treatment. Keep us informed.

I'm on treatment too, a little passed the halfway point on the 48 week

plan.

Patty and I can tell you stories about brain fog!

Usually the damage to the car is less than your deductible! LOL

Also, when you think you’re lost, don’t panic. Keep going and

in a couple minutes you’ll realize where you are. HA, and those

Ambien people think their stuff is good for 8 hours! Keep your sense of

humor, Carleen.
