Guest guest
The neurologist explained this sympton you explained to us as a side affect of mom's medicine. She said this could be expected. Her medicine is Miramex (sp?) This is not a medicine that is discussed often on this site but it is fairly new according to the doctor. I specifically remember the doctor's specific explaination that mom might be speaking to you and fall asleep for a few minutes/seconds and then awaken and talk again. My dad says this medicine stimulates the brain. The only time when we had trouble was when they doubled the medicine and she had a few seizures with her eyes rolling back in her head and her being terribly frightened when they were over. When the medicine was decreased those seizures stopped. The medicine seems to help. I have not observed the sympton the doctor described but maybe you LO experiences this. Colleen Wondering I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this with their LO. Guest guest
Mariea, When dad was still communicating he would do this also. Since his ability to talk has vanished, the condition seems to be more prevelant. I haven't visited him for a few weeks now, but the last several times I did he would only open his eyes for a few minutes at a time. Dennis Wondering I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this with their LO. Sometimes when I visit, Mom will sit herself up straight, talk about something and then it's almost like she exhausted herself, sits back and goes to sleep. This is all in a matter of seconds. She may do it 2-3 times. I happy to say that the moments Mom is awake she knows me and talks with me. Thanks, Mariea
