Guest guest
I finally spoke to the research people and the other drug that will be used is a protease Inhibitor. She said that she doesnt have the protocal yet but that they dont usually do Placebo study's and she didnt know if it was a blind study but this study is in Phase 3 and the last study they would do either the 2 normal drugs first and sometime into treatment they would add the protease inhibitor, and then the other group would do the protease inhibitor first then after a certain amount of weeks start the other 2 drugs. I asked her for the name of the third drug and she said it doesnt have a name just a number but to look up Protease Inhibitor. I looked that up and it looks like it is something that has worked with HIV patients but what I dont get is if it has a name for HIV why does it only have a number now?
