Guest guest
I've been accepted at Tampa General Hospital for TP! And, my insurance (Evercare by United Healthcare as alternative to Medicare, ($2,500 max per year for me)has signed a contract with the hospital for absolutely everything necessary. Never need pre-approval again! Saw one Doc Wednesday, and he's going to perform chemoembolization with lipidol(?) this coming Tuesday. Don't know much about this and research hasn't helped. I'll be in the hospital one or two nights and released. Then, the following Monday I have an appointment with the liver transplant Doctor, who will interview me and organize all the reqired tests, which will be done 2 weeks later. I'm already on the tp list, and should move higher on the list after further tests. Tumor is still only 1.7 mm, which is an optimal size for tp. As long as it doesn't exceed 5.0 mm or matastesize, I should be good to go. I'm really excited about all this, because as Butch and others have said, most people feel really better after tp. Been years since I've felt that! Bottom line is that I had to get sicker to be eligable for tp! Love to all for giving me the courage to smile and be thankful for what I do have.
