Free Verbal Behavior Training

Project LINK is pleased to announce its fall training series for

parents and educators of the Greater Capital Region.

Our Presenter:

Dr. Partington, Ph.D., BCBA owner of Behavior Analysts Inc. and

The STARS School in Pleasant Hill, California is a psychologist and

Board Certified Behavior Analyst with more than 30 years in the field

of teaching children with disabilities. He is the co-author of

Teaching Language to Children with Autism or Other Developmental

Disabilities and author to the revised edition of The Assessment of

Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS-R) and WebABLLS, Dr.

Partington also provides extensive training opportunities,

consultation services, workshops, STARS model classrooms and clinical

services for children and families. The workshops he presents are

based on his research and findings, within the field of Applied

Behavioral Analysis, utilizing the conceptual framework of verbal

behavior as developed by BF Skinner in 1957. Parents, families,

early intervention programs, preschool programs and school districts

benefit from his trainings across the country and abroad.

Teach Your Children Well Series One: November 1st,5th,7th 2:30pm to

6:30pm each day. This unique series will be delivered through the

Regional BOCES Distance Learning Consortium. Sites are to be

announced. Dr. Partington will cover from introductory to advanced

topics on teaching Verbal Behavior. It is his and Project LINK's

intention to provide a comprehensive learning experience for parents,

educators and administrators throughout upstate New York. Topic

examples: Basic principles of ABA, teaching procedures, natural

environment training, motivation, classroom design and program

management. Participants can attend all three days or choose the ones

which will benefit them the most. CEU's will be available for a fee

Teaching Advanced Verbal Behavior: November 2, 2007 8:30am-4:00pm at

the Malta Town Hall This workshop is for parents, educators and

administrators who have previous experience in introductory Verbal

Behavior. Dr. Partington will cover specific techniques to teach

higher level learner skills based on his book and research of the

ABLLS-R. Participants should bring their copy of the book with them

or books will be available for purchase the day of the training.

Series 3: Saturday November 3, 2007 at the Malta Town Hall from

8:30am-4:00pm This is an open forum for parents, educators and

administrators to bring their questions to Dr. Partington and receive

direct assistance from one of the nations leading experts in the

field.

these workshops as Project LINK is committed to helping our region.
