Guest guest
And from the online version of the same magazine: This is their tip of the day. Training in the evening... If you prefer to do your training in the late afternoon or in the early evening that's when the hormone production, body temperature and muscle flexibility are at their greatest. It is the best period for intensive training like weight lifting. To keep the glucose level of the blood right, have an energy drink one to two hours before the training. I am still a morning person but it's good to know... HEY this is GREAT news for evening folk like me! My workout times are between 6-8 pm on weekdays, and between 9-10 am on weekends... sometimes even later in the day on weekends. I TRY to workout right when I get in the door from work - and then eat after, but sometimes I am just TOO hungry to wait an hour. I can usually manage a half hour before dinner - it supresses my appetite. THe big thing is, hubby doesn't want to wait till 7:30 to eat dinner, when I workout an hour prior! DOES anyone have any recommendations for something quick I could drink prior to my workout but before dinner - something not hard to make, or extremely expensive to buy - not too high in fat or calories, but that will take hte edge off my hunger for the first 10 minutes of my workout???
