Well, I'll give them a kiss atop their sweet heads,

they're not really into belly scrtaches.

How is your Mom doing? I was just thinking about

you both, since you'd been quiet..

How are YOU holding up?

OH how beautiful!!

I love these pictures!

I used to raise orphaned kittens and puppies.. I miss that very much.

Give them a belly scratch for me. ;0)

Thanx so much for sharing!!

Just thought I'd share a couple of recent pictures,

been a busy Rehabbing season.

For me it's not really all that off topic, as it is what

keeps me going, doing for them..

We sure all need to find what works for us..

Hi,

My Mom is miserable! She has been seriously talking about quitting treatment. We have been trying so hard to talk her out of it. She only has 29 days left as of today. She just can't stand this weak, miserable feeling she has. She is constantly on the toilet and her shaking arm is getting weaker and weaker.. It really upsetting her..

We have a countdown going and are filling her mailbox with stuff. Trying to give her something to look forward to every day... I just hope she can finish this treatment.

Sorry to be so depressing! I am doing fine. Just feeling frustrated that there is nothing else I can do to help her thru this....

How are your babies doing? Give them another kiss from me and please post some more pics if ya can! I love to see 'em!!

29 days, tomorrow will be 28, can you give her a small calendar to

mark off each day, she is so very close!

Are you watching her labs closely? Can you call the doctor and tell

him just this and see if he can give her something to help her through

these last days?

You give yourself a pat on the back, if not for you, she would

have had one hard time making it this far!

You are a wonderful daughter that anyone would be proud to have!

Hang in, it WILL pass..

Babies are many, keeping me busy, expecting more.

I'll send new pictures to you directly, as soon as I can surface

long enough to take some..

Hugs,

Sheena

You know, when I was real close too, I was

about to pack it in. Everyone here MADE me continue……..after

all the time I had devoted to killing the damn dragon, how could I give up when

I was so close???

She HAS to go on. There is no option

of quitting at this point. I thought, “Well, I’ve been

undetectable……..it should be long enough by now.” I

asked the doctor what would happen if I quit…..he said, “If it

comes back, we’ll never know…….was it because you quit too

soon?”

Another 4 weeks may sound like a long time

to your Mom, but in the big picture, it’s just a tiny moment in

time.

Just be there for her…….Help

her off the toilet if she’s weak. Help her bathe or dress or

whatever it is she needs right now. Maybe her doctor can help with

specific problems like diarrhea if that’s become a problem.

YOU can do it to help her through the last

days. I did it alone and I would haven given anything to have a daughter

just there for me.

Good luck, Dorothy

honey, you need to talk with her doc and see if he can address some of the bad sides she is experiencing so that she CAN finish tx.. Every day in the meantime, try to distract her with different things, like watching a funny movie, taking her for a drive,, take her out for ice cream or some other special treat.. just keep reminding her that this will pass soon, she's almost across the finish line... she can do it!She is very very lucky to have you for her daughter,, you give yourself a pat on the back honey, you've done a very good job!Jackie

Lots of love and encouragement. SHe's sooo close now, I wanted to quit too, I don't know of anyone who didn't at some time or another. Each week and each shot that passes is that much closer to being done. I KNOW the time drags, weeks felt like months, but she has endured this far, it would be sooo foolish to quit now.Sharon in NW Washington Knitting is...time and love made tangible.
