Reading that story I didn't think you were a jackass at all, it just demonstrated what a beautiful person you are. Despite all the treatment she has given you, that hurt and no explanation you were still able to race around there.

I wouldn't bother with the wine, leave it as is. You have demonstrated that you are a bigger person than her by going to her family's aid – the rest is on her. If she wants back in, she can earn your friendship again and start with an explanation.

After reading your second post this morning, I have to concur with

Nic and Rob. Things have flowed OK with everyone for the past 6

years without the two of you being chummy, and she does sound a bit

like a loose cannon, I'd ignore the invite too. Sometimes people

pass thru our lives for a reason and essentially you have a full time

job taking care of your own needs with the band and a family too, so

I wouldn't want to be trying to incorporate baggage from elsewhere

that may end up being like a part time job. You can live on

that " priceless " look for many months to come and enjoy the knowledge

that you didn't blink to run for aid, whereas would she have done the

same - doesn't sound like it?
