Guest guest
Hello All, I am new to the Yahoogroup and wanted to introduce myself. I have been listening to IOWL for about 2 months now. I started listening at the beginning and I'm up to the episodes that aired in about March, so I still have a little bit of catching up to do. I have lost 31 pounds since the end of June and I have quite a bit more to go to reach my goal. I am trying to use a combination of approaches since I know I gained it all for a variety of reasons. So, I am getting to Curves 3 times a week, I'm trying different ways to adjust the way I'm eating and using IOWL for motivation. I do see a big difference in my motivation when I listen as opposed to when I have gone more than a week without listening. I'm looking forward to connecting with other listeners and sharing in the support network. Thank you all for being here and connected. Guest guest
You're just a little south of where we used to live. It's difficult obtaining services in a small town:( Sara Hello All Hi my name is Sharon I am mom to Danny 10 going on 11 next month. He has Aspergers and is just hitting the stage of I don't know whats normal or Autism? He is pushing every button I have and has resorted to some of the things that he used to do when he was 3 and not vocal. So I don't quite know what is going on with him. He only treats me this way - he is uaully fine with my DH but even that is wearing thin. But on the otherhand he wants to be so helpful - he learned that from Boy Scouts - that goodness for that program it has helped him so much. Helps that I was his leader until he hit Webelos and now in Boy Scouts his dad is the Scoutmaster. We live in a very small town about 100 miles outside of Chicago, IL. There are quite a few Asperger/Autism kids here but no one talks to anybody so I don't get any help on issues that arise with Dan.Well without writing a novel that's about it for me. I hope to get to know you all well I will lurk for awhile and post when I have something to share or need help.Sharon
