Guest guest Posted June 30, 2008 Report Share Posted June 30, 2008 We have two openings left in the 1:00 - 2:00 pm class. This class is for ages 10-12. Classes begin July 9th. FEAT-NT, in conjunction with the Art Station in Fort Worth, is offering a 4 week summer art class for children with Autism. The classes will be held at the FEAT-NT Resource Center and Library in North Richland Hills. Classes will be led by Art Station staff members who are licensed therapists and professional art therapists, along with an experienced ABA therapist. These classes will utilize art therapy principles and techniques while promoting increased language and improved social skills functioning. A Summer Art Show will conclude the program! The classes will be grouped by age, as indicated below. Participants appropriate for these groups must be able to maintain an attention span for at least 30 minutes, follow simple instructions, respond to redirection appropriately, have developmentally appropriate verbal and physical skills to engage with group members and with the art materials. Class sizes will be very limited. Sign up quickly to assure your child's space. July 9, 16, 23, 30 (Wednesday's) 9:30 - 10:30 ages 4 to 7 11:00 - 12:00 ages 7 to 10 1:00 - 2:00 ages 10 - 12 Registration is for participation in all four class dates.
