Water is slipping through very slowly. Can this be possible on about 7ml??? I left it until 11.30 to go up with Paddy for my coffee - only had two mouthfuls and it is still burning in the pouch. I want to eat, my stomach is rumbling, but I know that nothing is going through today. And that depresses the hell out of me! I was planning Chinese tonight - and it gives me the irrates that I can't have even a little bit. No food has gone down and stayed down since fill yesterday... only soup and liquids. Guest guest Posted October 12, 2006 Report Share Posted October 12, 2006 Mel Only soups and liquids is okay at this stage – I mean most surgeons tell you to be on liquids 24hrs then moosh for 24hrs then reintroduce solids. I would be inclined to think that if you get to Monday and are not able to eat a very small amount of food slowly then look at getting some out. You have to take into account that there is always that possibility of swelling in the stomach that will go down over the next little while, then you will be able to accurately judge where you fill level is. As long as you are able to get the fluids down you wont dehydrate and if you are craving calamari – how about a seafood laksa blended (take out any lemongrass first) and have a bit of a nibble on that.
