Guest guest
Hi Randy, well you are retaining fluid(no shit Sherlock). You should put a call into your DR right away. When your liver is not not functioning well, you will retain fluid, they might give you some Lasix to help pee it off.Have you had any alchohol(had to ask). This sounds like it could be serious, don't be a man and procrastinate.I have ended up in the hospital several times for denial.

Thanks for your input. I appreciate it very much. Sometimes it takes a man's view to get another man to get off their butt and do the right things. It's not just men who are stubborn hard headed and procrastinate. I've done it many times myself. Randy call your Dr NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the best to you My Friends. Love and Hugs. Guest guest
I am Ellie, I introduced myself when I first joined the group but I never participated since then. I have been going through a lot of personal issues and have been unable to fully participate either by responding to posts or reading them all, I haven't even listened to the podcasts lately but I am hopeful. I really enjoy listening to Reneé and I will go back as soon as I deal with my most important problem at the moment. I know by reading some of the posts that you are all a wonderful group of people who care about each other even though you don't know each other personally. Tomorrow I will be having full knee replacement surgery. I feel very anxious although I know I am in the hands of a good surgeon and I think I will be better a few weeks later. Please, if you are a believer I will appreciate your prayers for a full recovery. My family and especially my mother needs me. I wish you all success in whatever you do. Enjoy the holidays and as soon as I'm able to, I will read the posts and start listening more actively and doing the required homework to succeed at this difficult battle. I have good news though, for the first time since I can remember I lost weight during Thanksgiving instead of gaining. That is a step forward even though it was just a 2 pounds. Thank you for reading this far and many blessings to all of you! Ellie
Guest guest
Ellie, Congratulations on living through Turkey Day and eating in a way that nourished your body. I hope that your knee surgery will improve the quality of your life. I am having major surgery in January. I am an avid exerciser. Having surgery, being out of commission, and having my belly cut on could freak me out. But I keep reminding myself that by having surgery I am taking care of myself and insuring my future health. My body, my weight, my figure are not as important as insuring a long life. In the long run, your surgery will improve your life. Good luck, and reach out to the group when you feel the need for extra support or to share your successes. And when you are laid up recovering, listen to your body it will tell you if you are hungry or not, or whether you just need some TLC.. You are in my prayers.
