News flash-does anything ever go right?

I just had a call from Dr Braniff who was to assist Layani at my

surgery THIS Friday. If I want the camera down my throat to find out

if I have a hernia or slip causing my reflux, which I certainly do

want, Dr Layani does not do gastro....(whatever you call it).

Therefore I have two choices (none really) I either have surgery for

port replacement on Friday then have a barium and camera later with

Dr Talbott and further surgery if needed. Naturally I want it done

all at once, so Friday has been cancelled. I will now have a barium

then Dr Talbott will do the camera if needed and the port and

probably a band adjustment or replacement with a smaller band. They

are ringing back with dates but I am so unhappy. I was all ready to

go and get this fixed and now there will be more delays. I will need

to watch what I'm eating in between too because I could eat a small

cow now, I have vitually no restriction. Pissed off and unhappy,

disappointed and dejected and waiting for the phone call. Why can't

Talbott do it this Friday?? Anyway, undoutedly I will let you all

know when, I have to whinge to someone. Dr Braniff thinks I either

have a slip or a leak..bummer!! I mentioned that it is obvious to me

that us bigger folk who get the big bands seem to have problems when

we loose so much weight. I suppose that is obvious, it is just too

big once the fat disappears. He ignored that but did say I would

have the VG replaced with a smaller band this time. M.
