Bring your own lunch and eat with friends and other parents at the

center or step out for lunch.

3:30 - Workshop Ends

The purpose of this workshop is to provide parents and caregivers of

children with special needs with a rudimentary understanding of the

environmental variables that control and maintain problem behaviors.

Participants will then learn how to manipulate these variables in

order to effect consistent, long-term reduction of problem

behaviors.

Topics to be Covered:

Importance of reducing problem behaviors • Analyzing problem

behaviors according to function rather than form • Developing a

behavior reduction plan that includes antecedent • Manipulations as

well as consequences, with emphasis on antecedents • Data collection
