Guest guest
Hey folks, I recently sent out information regarding a study on parental stress and depression. I would like to thank those of you who have participated! I would also like to ask for more volunteers. This study may be a great contribution to the research on parental depression and stress of parents with a child on the Autism Spectrum and the more completed surveys the better the research. The information about the study is below. Please take a look at it if you have time. Thank you for all your help and time. RECENT INFORMATION SENT BELOW Hello, My name is Keli Blankenship and I am a graduate student at Spalding University. I am currently working on my dissertation and am recruiting volunteers to participate in a research study examining parental stress, mood, and quality of life of parents raising children with autism spectrum disorders. This research is under the supervision of Dr. Steve Katsikas, the department chair at Spalding University. To participate, you must be the parent of a child diagnosed with Autistic Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS) between the ages of 4 and 18. Your participation will help us learn more about the unique challenges of raising a child with an autism spectrum disorder. Additionally, we hope to determine whether there are any factors that may be related to positive coping (resiliency factors). If you are interested in participating in the study, it is easy to complete through an online survey. You will be completely anonymous. It should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. To access the survey and participate in the study please click on the following link. http://www.questionpro.com/akira/TakeSurvey?id=886278 or Click Here to take the survey Questions about the study can be directed to me at kblank06@... or Dr. Steve Katsikas, skatsikas@.... You may email us to request a summary of the study's findings when the study is complete. Thank you for your time.
