20 Practical Function-Based Interventions Based on the

Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)

You are cordially invited to attend a workshop on March 13th, 2009 at

Rowan University from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm presented by Brett DiNovi,

BCBA in the conjunction with Louise E. Kerwin, Ph.D., BCBA from

Rowan University.

• Who should attend? School psychologists, social workers,

licensed psychologists, child study team members, behavior analysts,

teachers, parents, and clinicians

• What do the trainees get? We are providing FOUR HOURS of

Behavior Analyst Certification Board CE's, FOUR HOURS of NJ Dept. of

Education professional development credits for school personnel &

FOUR HOURS of Continuing Education for Licensed Psychologists (APA).

Participants will receive handouts and certificates verifying

professional hours of attendance. A continental breakfast will be

provided.

• Topic? This workshop provides the participant with detailed

instructions on how to implement over 20 behavioral interventions

that are practical in school, home, and community settings. Dr.

Kerwin serves as a discussant and comments on each intervention

presented by Brett DiNovi throughout the workshop.

• Topics include: 20 practical interventions; how to increase

the value of reinforcement when shaping behavior within discrete

trials; common mistakes when implementing and evaluating

interventions; how & when to safely implement restrictive

interventions; safeguards to consider when using restrictive

interventions.

• About DiNovi & Associates: The majority of consultation is

provided in 38 school districts throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania,

and Quintana Roo Mexico.

• Where is it Located?: At Rowan University's Student Center

Ballroom in Glassboro, NJ: 201 Mullica Hill Rd, Glassboro, NJ 08028

to the Bookstore. The Ballroom is on the second floor of the student

center.

• What is the fee? This workshop is $90 for all participants

and is FREE for Rowan students with ID.
